And people still ask me why I simply do not give a damn about any foreign country.

    Unbelievable.
Back in Russia I had a friend who once was hospitalized for mental problems. He tolled that patients in mental hospitals there were not allowed to use forks and knives, just spoons.
What can be said about government which treats its young citizens as mentally ill?

Well on all US airlines you get plastic silverware now too.

I flew on Emirates to Dubai and got very nice metal silverware and china plates!

The reason why the UK has this law is that after they banned and destroyed all guns in the land, the criminals had no choice than to find a new weapon that was just as effective. So they bought the kitchen knives and started stabbing people. Stabbings went through the roof. They had more stabbings after the gun ban went into effect, and more violent crime than before the gun ban.

But nobody sees than bans do nothing....but create more crime

That's an amazing photo which I've shared with friends. Thanks for posting that.

Regarding air travel, my wife and I were recently traveling through a major US airline hub. We had an hour to kill so we went to a restaurant about 100 yards from our gate where we ordered steaks. We were served our meals complete with a very large and very sharp steak knife. There was NOTHING to stop us from pocketing the things and simply walking to our flight. Nothing. This whole security thing is simply ludicrous.

20 pounds ($40)? No criminal will buy a silverware set for that much just to get a butter knife from it. That's kind of steep.
