I'm jealous. But +1 to you for making the jump.
I just went to the NH DMV and got my drivers lic. It was easy, I did have to wait in line for an hour but I guess they closed down the Lebenon office and everyone was coming down to the Claremont location. They wouldn't give me back my MA lic. After that I went to the police station and applied for my pistol permit. They said fill out this appacation and come back in 2 week to pick up the lic. I didn't have to show them any ID, no finger prints or photos, no having to be interviewed by the chief, It is so much diffrent from MA. Now I need to find some money and go buy a gun that I can't get in MA. I move up here to freedom and I can't afford to buy anything, it sucks. For the past 4 years I was buying about 2 guns a month and now I haven't bought a gun sense April. I need to go out and buy 6 to 8 guns to make up for lost time. But other than I think I'm going to like it up here

"live free or die"
until property tax time, or you have to pay 40-50 to get your car inspected, or pay to get a dump sticker... nothing is free, it just hits you in different ways.
well you spell like one, so i guess you're in. welcome.![]()
Stupid Taurus
my dump sticker is free, I have 4 vehicles registered in NH, I'll pay the extra 44 bucks and at least they DO something when they inspect it, like mandatory wheel removal to inspect the brakes, unlike MA where it is still "lick it and stick it" when it comes to inspecting cars, and as far as property taxes, I'll gladly pay them and not complain. In my town every dollar spent has to be voted on at the polls, not rammed through town meeting by 50 people, most of who are public employees voting on their own raises.
the extra 2 grand I pay in property taxes since I moved here (and work here so I am income and sales tax free) is well worth it because I have rights in NH that MA wouldn't dream of letting me have.
talk to me on Saturday when the sales tax goes up and Salem NH will be grid locked with MA residents jumping the border to save the tax money.
here is the Christy Mihos webcam showing the MA residents jumping the border.
