    Leave him to the sodomites??????

I'd give you rep for that line alone but I gotta spread it around before the system lets me.

you know, this thread has had me thinking about NH a lot in the last two days. and if anybody moves here and hates the state because they can't find a job, it's not the states fault. it just means you weren't willing to get your hands dirty and do a job that was below your "social status." or you weren't talented enough to start your own business. or you couldn't hack the commute south of the border into a nanny state that pays twice what you're worth because that's "fair."

i may be a transplant, like my brother loves to tout, but i'll tell you what... i've been all over this country, and all over this world. i've eaten shit in asia that would make a billy goat puke. i've been in strip clubs in the middle east that had steel ceilings because "allah cannot see through steel." i've been pampered in opulent welfare states in europe that would make most peoples' eyes pop out. and i'll tell you what, there really isn't any better place on earth.

Daniel Webster once said that:" New Hampshire produces granite and men." And he was right. It's a harsh, unforgiving state. both in terms of climate, and in terms of employment opportunities. New Hampshire is a fickle bitch that tries to kill its residents in every season. freeze you to death in winter, kill you with seasonal depression every spring, bleed you to death with mosquitoes every summer, and drive you freaking crazy with leaf-peeping Massholes every fall. but if you love her, i mean really love her, she takes care of you.

you can walk tall with your head held upright, your pistol on your hip, and know that your neighbors have your back. you can rest assured that the people you don't know yet will act rationally, constitutionally, and ultimately in your best interest. you know that you can protect your family without the fear of spending the rest of your life in prison based on some asinine feel good legislation passed by some silver spoon sucking idiot who denies you the right to self defense while traveling around with an entourage of private military contractors carrying fully automatic weapons.
but you've got to be a man. New Hampshire was the first state to ratify it's own constitution. It guarantees that:

    1. All men have certain natural, essential, and inherent rights - among which are, the enjoying and defending life and liberty; acquiring, possessing, and protecting, property; and, in a word, of seeking and obtaining happiness. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or
abridged by this state on account of race, creed, color, sex or national origin.

    2. All persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property and the state.

    3. Government being instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security, of the whole community, and not for the private interest or emolument of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, whenever the ends of government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may, and of right ought to reform the old, or establish a new government. The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind

sure, we've got our problems. most of them coming from transplants looking for an easy life handed to you by the tax and spend government. assholes looking to limit everything in order to preserve "the bucolic aspect of the state." but there are still men here who believe in those precepts with their hearts and souls. men who've put their lives on the line for the idea that is America, —men wouldn't think even once before sacrificing that life for this state. men who come home from abroad, dig a hand into this gravelly, unfriendly soil, and feel peace in their soul.

that gritty, granite dirt, it has a smell... and that smell is liberty.

so yeah, you can bitch all you want about how you can't live here because you can't support your lifestyle. to you, I say... good riddance. stay out. but to the rest of you, the guys who come here looking to live a free life, guys willing to make that commute, take that pay cut, make the sacrifice, then welcome. we need you. let's keep it the way it always has been, and should be.

You rock man. You made my day.
Attention MA gun owners! It's time for you to come home to New Hampshire!
No income tax! Gun freedom! No sales tax! Sunday hunting!
What are you waiting for? Come on up! The only vote in MA that matters is the one you cast with your feet!
Come home to New Hampshire! Come home to where you belong!
Be sure to read how Massachusetts immigrants are keeping New Hampshire free!
