  3. Might be moving down south

We went down a few weekends ago to look at areas and meet realtors. We're pretty excited, looks like we'll get a bigger/newer house for $300k less, and taxes will be about a third as well. Selling all my guns up here to friends, especially now that they're talking about banning F2F transfers.
  4. Might be moving down south

Thanks, I found that one and carolina firearms forum which was the impetus for this post. Appreciate the info.
  5. Might be moving down south

I don't know man, maybe we're in different situations. I figure that not even counting a difference in my mortgage, I will save >$20k/year. As far as jobs go, my wife has a super specialized set of skills, there are like 5 big players in her industry and all of them will let her work remotely...

    Obviously I'm not doing that.
  7. Might be moving down south

Thanks! Signed up, waiting for admins to approve. I've already told my friends that I'll sell them my non-MA FFL-allowed stuff on eFA10s before I move and all my preban mags, etc. Like my gen4 glock and my ARs and not charge them the MA-tax since I'll be able to buy new replacements at normal...
  8. Might be moving down south

Hey everyone, This forum has been an invaluable asset to me over the years. I'm seriously thinking about moving to North Carolina from MA, does anyone know which of the NC or Carolina gun owners forums are the most active and closest in community to NES? Also, if anyone knows any great ranges...
  9. Massachusetts Rifle Association - Woburn, MA

Does anyone respond to the voicemails or the email address the voicemail says to use? I used both means of communication and haven't heard back in a few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Massachusetts Rifle Association - Woburn, MA

If the board was more hands-off and the rules and procedures weren't so strict, that'd be fine. However if they don't receive payment by 12/31, they shut off the rfid, and knowing them, may demand another initiation fee or some penalty. Even though I put a check into the office a month before it...
  11. Massachusetts Rifle Association - Woburn, MA

I'm getting frustrated by the lack of communication with the office. The voicemail box is still full, I called during office hours on Sunday and no one answered, I've emailed the address they say to email for a faster response, etc and gotten no response or reply. I happened to be at the club...

  18. OK, so shall I EF10 my stripped lowers or not? Clear opinion please, lets not turn

I'm just saying, people are freaking out and handwringing about something that doesn't matter. There are much bigger issues here than how do I fill out a form that doesn't matter yet.
  19. OK, so shall I EF10 my stripped lowers or not? Clear opinion please, lets not turn

It's 7 days, and that's my point. It's not a firearm in MA. Federally it is, but not in MA. As far as the state is concerned, this is like filing an FA-10 for a hammer. It's a hunk of metal until it's capable of firing a shot in MA.
  20. OK, so shall I EF10 my stripped lowers or not? Clear opinion please, lets not turn

How do you even fill out an FA-10 for a stripped lower? There's no barrel length, caliber, etc.
