  1. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

Please school me, because I thought the Winchester Red Box (USA Ready) was brass cased and the khaki (USA forged) was their steel cased "value" line.
  2. Russian troops to receive cutting-edge small arms The new weapons will include “the best machine pistol in the world,” arms manufacturer Kalashnikov

Yes, but it's with the 84 grain 7n21 round out of a 7.1" barrel -- nothing terribly new there. The PPK-20 is a blowback without last bolt hold open. Operationally, it could very well be world class, but it's still got the ballistics one would expect of a 9mm SMG.
  3. Russian troops to receive cutting-edge small arms The new weapons will include “the best machine pistol in the world,” arms manufacturer Kalashnikov

rt.com is owned and operated by the Russian government. Their livelihoods and possibly their lives depend on publishing what Putin wants them to publish.
  4. AR in x39?

No, it's an honest question. I guess I don't understand what your criterion is for "pretty popular."
  5. AR in x39?

Really? How many have even 1% of the AR market? Nope. I mean the new round and rifle contract for by the US Army earlier this year. As for why, because it will appeal to the "operator" wannabees.
  6. AR in x39?

The "winner" chosen by the US Army to replace the M4 and M249. https://www.snipercountry.com/277-sig-fury-6-8x51mm/
  7. AR in x39?

I won't say they are all wrong, but I'd say 75+% of them prove the adage "just because you can doesn't mean you should." I "get" .22LR. I also get the pistol calibers. 350 Legend? Sure, if only to exploit legal loopholes. 300 BLK? I haven't read a lot about it recently, but if I was...
  8. Is anyone missing ammo shipped by UPS? CEO says TWO-THIRDS of ammunition deliveries have gone MISSING

FWIW, I redirected the package to Walgreens and picked it up this afternoon. Half a case of purple lipstick safe and sound.
  9. Is anyone missing ammo shipped by UPS? CEO says TWO-THIRDS of ammunition deliveries have gone MISSING

I've had several shipments of ammo arrive without any issues. My beef isn't ammo specific; other shipments have "gone walkabout." It's with my FedEx Ground contractor. One time, for example, they claimed to have left a package at my front door, when actually they had left it at my roadside...
  10. Is anyone missing ammo shipped by UPS? CEO says TWO-THIRDS of ammunition deliveries have gone MISSING

I was expecting a FedEx delivery today. Instead, I received a notice of a delivery exception because no one was home. My wife was home at the time and both doorbells are functioning normally. Nor is it the first time I've had a FedEx Ground delivery person outright lie about a delivery.
  11. The IRS Is Buying Up Ammo, While The Government Intends To Make It Harder For Citizens To Acquire

No, and it never has. That bit of folklore came out of a 2011 raid, but was quickly walked back by the news reporters who got it wrong. They do have officers armed with shotguns, though. In 2020, the GAO published a list of Federal non-military tactical teams. It included two teams under the...
  12. The IRS Is Buying Up Ammo, While The Government Intends To Make It Harder For Citizens To Acquire

While having 100+ armed Federal agencies and departments is absurd, I can easily see the need for the IRS to have armed police. Social Security? Not so much. That said, do you really want a single coordinated Federal police force?
  13. The IRS Is Buying Up Ammo, While The Government Intends To Make It Harder For Citizens To Acquire

Okay, time for a little math. 700K/2200 special agents = $318 of ammo per agent. I spend about that much every 6 months, and I suspect some of you spend a lot more. I guess Boebert doesn't want armed Federal agents to actually keep in practice with their weapons.
  14. Pick one 9mm carbine: HiPoint 995 vs. KelTec SUB2000

Been there, own that. It's been back to Oregon 3 times due to stovepiping/FTE issues. This time, they may have finally fixed it, but I'm withholding judgement until I run another few hundred rounds through it. If all goes well, I'll start the SBR process.
  15. Safe shopping

Are you looking for an actual safe, or a gun security container?
  16. 21 killed, 18 injured in shooting at elementary school in Uvalde, Texas

That's not quite accurate. What the Court actually ruled is: "A State's failure to protect an individual against private violence generally does not constitute a violation of the Due Process Clause, because the Clause imposes no duty on the State to provide members of the general public with...
  17. Grand Opening of Sig Sauer Experience Center

Thanks. That's consistent with what I'm seeing elsewhere, but I'm not sure its worth the price difference over Q4318.
  18. Grand Opening of Sig Sauer Experience Center

I wonder what they are asking for 9mm NATO. . . might be worth a drive up there in a few weeks.
  19. Supreme Court - NYSRPA v. Bruen - Megathread

You guys are bringing back memories...
  20. Which 9mm jhp should i buy?

In perhaps a futile effort to get away from the perpetual ".40 threat or menace" debate, any love for Winchester Ranger Bonded or Ranger-T in 9mm?
