I have done it a couple of times. It's a blast, and if you are a Glock shooter, it'll give you a ton of great information and skills. IT does depend greatly on which instructor you get. Some are OK, some are stellar. My first go around I got the guy that teaches all the other teachers.

I started out by looking online for lists of local repeaters, and learned how to program them all in to the radio. Then I started discovering nets, locals talking, and other goodies.

I have one of those radios! I love it. Programming is easy but make use of the available software and SD card. You'll thank me. I was using it as a moile unit. It's sitting now though after a vehicle change. Can't bring myself to cut up a 2018 vehicle
Glock. Because they have proven themselves to me over probably hundreds of thousands of rounds. And i own rugers, HK, sig, s&w
i love the new 2.0 series form s&w and the hk vp9 but for my hands, a gock is just magic and i can do more with it with less effort.
