I am interested in getting a 10/22 but i am not sure if i want to build or buy one. i found this USA shooting team 10/22 that looks nice anyone know how well it shoots?

thoughts? is this gun worth the price or is it cheaper/better to buy a regular 10/22 and build it up myself?

Just as a matter of opinion it all depends on how much you want to spend and how quickly you want to shoot. I picked up a wood stock standard 10/22 and have had fun plinking away with it. I will upgrade it with a few items but I am in no rush. If your looking to shoot immediately with a higher end 10/22 then the one you posted would be the most likely way to go. If your willing to wait while you collect all the upgrades and do the work yourself then go with the basic and build it up at your leisure.

It depends entirely on what you want. Are you looking for a plinker, a training rifle, or are you getting into serious target shooting? If you want a plinker, an upgraded factory model is a waste of money. If you want a training rifle, you'll want to build your own. If you want a serious shooter, long onto rimfirecentral.com and ask them.

But for my two cents, if you want an upgraded 10/22 and you have the time/energy to put into it, I don't see why you'd get a factory upgraded model. You end up with a rifle that's on par with the factory model for less, or you can upgrade to your specifications beyond what's on the factory model. Besides, it's more fun to build you own.
