Paying $100 to invoke your 2nd amendment rights in Massachusetts in a form of a firearms license is the same as paying $100 for a license to enable your other constitutional rights. Imagine if all of a sudden Massachusetts made a law making you pay $100 for a free speech permit or a fee to immunize you from unlawful search and seizure, or a fee for a license to allow free assembly (oh wait we have already have to pay for that now too) damn, socialism can really be a drag.

What's even worse is: After paying the $100 you are not guaranteed to get such privileges or said privileges may be neutered.

And having to pay a $200 tax if your words weren't long enough or you talked too fast! And forget about trying to whisper in some states!

I think it should be invoked immediately......just to prove a point to people about how incendiary paying that type of fee for a gun license is to gun owners. Maybe if they got a taste of their own medicine, they'd see the oppression that they impose on others and change their thought process a little.

Hey, I can dream can't I........oh wait, this MA, sorry.

"A well educated people, being necessary to the prosperity of a free state, the right of the people to keep and read books, shall not be infringed."

Use the free speech license to be able to use slang (Class B) and cuss words (Class A)! Sign language associated with these will require a Class A permit.

Duct tape over the mouth is free.

[smile]

I can see it now, I'd be being interviewed for my Class A at the police station......"Sir why do you need a class A" my reply....."I need it because my wife says I use the F word like an adjective" So I'm hoping to f***ing get it, otherwise, I'll have to f***in move to anonther f***ing state where I can say f*** without being f***ing jailed or f***ing fined like a f***ing illegal immigrant.

Wonder if I'd pass.....

How about we institute a licensing requirement, tax AND/or 3 days "cooling off period" to vote too??

Or how a bout a "You can't go into that place of worship without a license, license?" these licenses would of course be issued by the department of public safety, or some other suitably unelected bureucrat and only candidates deemed "suitable" enough or can show a "justifiable need" be issued such licenses?

Then there would be green and red towns and some licenses would be resricted. You would only be able to speak freely on Tues & Thurs Etc....

Hey, the possibilities are endless. Did you overuse your quota of toilet paper? How many times did you use your outdoor grille this year? How many cans, bottles and other containers did you put in the trash this year? Did you cut your grass too much? Trim too many bushes? How many toilet flushes did you use this past year? Did you exceed your allotment? Did any of your household members smoke cigarettes/cigars/pipes outdoors this year? If so, how many times? Did you obtain the necessary permits for all of the above?

Please answer these questions completely so that your correct tax bill can be computed. Please insert the extra amount you owe on line xxx of your form.
Warning: Non-compliance will result in additional penalties. [rofl]

Is that anything like Tourette's Syndrome? [rolleyes]

Turrets is when the head spins around, like so:

What they should do is envoke licenses to have children, maybe then some of these deadbeat parents actually would take care of their kids, since they would have to pay for them. Oh Shit, there goes my Tourette's Syndrome again (Thanks Scrivener).
