Is the Glock 20 the only full sized 10mm service type pistol out there or am I missing some? Thanks for any insight!

Bren ten if you can find one

Thanks for all the insight and suggestions. When I lived in Colorado I used to love revolvers, now that I live here in Mass. I love semi-autos. I don't know what it is. Culture I guess

Smith and Wesson 10mm's are built like tanks; you can't go wrong.

Until you need parts...then you're ****ed (because the S&W 10mm models have been discontinued, as has parts production).

If out-of-the-box reliability, durability, in-the-field maintainability, and the long-term manufacturer support of the pistol is important to you, the Glock 20 and Glock 29 can be recommended.

Is this based on your on experience or is it speculation? There are several really good sources of 3rd Generation S&W Semi-Auto parts available including the factory and the factory will make up special runs of S&W 3rd Generation semi-autos like it did recently for the West Virginia State Police. 10mm might be problematical because of caliber, but then again maybe not. I'd avoid sweeping generalizations unless you can back it up with your own experience. I recently had to get a part replaced for my first generation S&W 39 and had absolutely no problem getting a part.

I think with S&W it can be hit or miss, I had a 686-1 that needed a new rear sight, when I called them about it they shunted me off to some smaller buisiness who deals with older S&W stuff, can't remember the name of the buisiness however.

Are any of the above mentioned revolvers still in production? I would love to get a 610 but it's not listed on Smith's web site catalog.

The 610 is one of those models that only get a production run when they get enough orders and requests to warrant it. Less & less as time goes on. They'll be back someday but who knows when. Buy a used one.
