Multiple police sources told Fox News Digital that the suspect also died

Two New York City police officers were shot in a Harlem gunfight Friday night — one fatally and one critically wounded — days after a 16-year-old boy allegedly wounded another officer in the Bronx, according to police sources.

An NYPD spokesperson confirmed that two officers had been shot near 119 West 135th Street in the NYPD’s 32nd Precinct but said their conditions were not immediately available. They were rushed to Harlem Hospital.

Despite earlier indications that both officers had died, NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell said during a late-night news briefing that one had died and the other was fighting for his life.

Continues...

Ever since Obama and the War on Cops we all knew - there will be an increase in police ambushes.

It's turning into the Wild West out there... RIP Officer.

They'll be patrolling in BearCats soon...

The scumbags mom told him "no guns in my house":

Here's the gun he used to shoot the cops.
Isn't there a law against hi-cap magazines in New York ???

Pretty sure NYPD medical pensions were 3/4 pay and city/state tax free (NYC has a city income tax for residents and workers). Regular pensions were taxable.

Several friends are retired NY cops- wives didn't mind them smoking until they retired since heart disease found before or at retirement was a qualifying medical condition presumed to be job related.

Afterwards- with no heart disease found- time to quit. ;)

Pensions were based on the three highest earning years- so the last three years were all about them working as much OT as they could. One was a lieutenant on the bomb squad- the year after 9/11 he worked 900 hours of OT. He didn't want to retire, but he'd never get a pension that large and would've been stupid not to take it.

On the one hand I'm mad that some career lowlife was able to shoot cops because of commie DA's and judges letting them roam free making the police's job dangerous & impossible.
On the other hand I'm mad that the NYPD is more than happy to enforce bullshit gun laws and unlawful 'public health' orders in blatant violation of the Constitution.

The system is broken when criminals are able to maraud unmolested while the police, powerless to do anything about real criminals, is exercising what little power they have on kicking around nominally law abiding citizens.

This. A million times, this!

Literally the dumbest thing I've heard a cop do. And that's saying something.

MA can be 100%, but as I recall it takes a special act of the Legislature. The standard is 72%, but there are no COLAs. Or weren't when one of my partners left because of an unrepairable rotator cuff injury.
Depends where it is. FL is 42%, MA 72%. No clue about NY

The first criminal who died in the electric chair was executed in NY. Many others followed, including Julius and Ethel Rosenberg in the 1950s. New York liberals decided that the chair was too cruel for violent criminals and decided to coddle them instead. Criminals picked up on this change in attitude and became increasingly brazen. This is the result. These predators have no fear of cops, courts, judges or juries.

Man threatened to 'f*** up' police funerals in disturbing video - just days before a second officer's ceremony at St. Patrick's: Same man was taped yelling racist slurs at Asian NYPD cop

  • Activist Terrell Harper uploaded the tirade to his Instagram Stories on Saturday
  • He posted the threats to disrupt future NYPD funerals on a private account
  • Harper said: 'I can't wait for one of y’all to die so I can f*** your funeral up, n****'
  • The NYPD has told DailyMail.com they are 'looking into' Harper's claims
  • An Asian NYPD detective sued Harper last year for making racist comments against him

Brooklyn teacher is 'no longer employed' after Instagram post appeared to encourage violence against cops mourning slain officer: Claims his words were 'misconstrued' and he was only trying to show the 'vulnerability' of the crowd of cops

  • Former math teacher Christopher Flanigan is no longer employed at Coney Island Prep, the school said Sunday
  • The former teacher posted a photo to Instagram of cops flooding Fifth Avenue for the funeral of Det. Jason Rivera, who was killed in the line of duty
  • Flanigan wrote in the caption for the picture that it was an 'ideal' condition for 'reciprocity' after a police van ran into a group of protesters in May 2020
  • Flanigan told the New York Post he been receiving death threats and calls for his firing over his since-deleted post
  • He claimed his words were 'misconstrued' and that he was merely commenting on the 'vulnerability' of the crowd of cops
  • His comments came as an actress was fired for a TikTok rant about street closures during the funeral
  • On Sunday, Coney Island Prep stated that he is no longer employed at the school

Here's the article about the stupid c**t who just couldn't keep her mouth shut on Tik Tok.
Now she's an unemployed stupid c**t.
Maybe she can get a job working for Ocasio-Cortez or "radical, socialist, lesbian, white hater, cop hater, hater, degenerate human filth scumbag" Kristin Richardson Jordan.
Seems like she's just their kinda gal.

My pension is based off the highest 3 years also, but OT doesn’t count.
Only base pay.

Official OT for work counted for them. They didn't do details like MA.

The one bomb squad officer had to work tons of time in the immediate post 9/11 paranoia.

Another friend who retired early in 2001 was a Sergeant on the Bronx Task Force, worked nights. Mostly busting hookers and dope dealers around Hunts Point. He made OT for daytime court appearances based on arrests made. The team members tended to give first picks on OT to the guys approaching retirement, knowing they'd get the same when they got close.
