I heard this shooter had body armor as did the one in Buffalo. He could go for a quick easy win by banning body armor. Not what they want but a start and it makes them look like there doing something.

People now love and ready to hate, both left and right all the same. And then an 18 yr old hating teen goes and shoots elementary school. The society is sick and it’s not getting any better.
 
So, I know what it's like to lose a child I feel very sorry for those who have to move forward and I am very sorry for what they now face. The guilt, anger, disbelieve it will never stop for them they won't be able to live in a moment of silence for the rest of their lives it's absolutely horrible. I can't fathom what goes through a person's mind that thinks killing children is an outlet to their frustration's to, I guess, show the world their pain ... but the pain they cause is much worse.

I can say I would still seek vengeance against those associated as I believe we raise our children to follow rules and when we don't we are the ones who should atone.

I could see 10 Republicucks in the senate voting to outlaw body armor. They were nearly all on board to ban bump stocks.

You're saying we should kill the shooter's parents? That they're responsible?

His grandmother is already gone and, if the rumors are true, his anger toward his mother is the reason he killed 21 people. One of those may have been his mom, but if it wasn't? I'm certain, if it's true that she worked at that school and if she was the reason he went there, that she wishes she were dead. You'd be doing her a favor.

Trump banned bump stocks just like that. Body armor would be easy to ban and felonize wouldn't it? Executive action. Not protected under the constitution.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Bump stocks are gun parts, with a federal agency to regulate them; body armor is not. He could possibly find a way to prevent interstate sales? Certainly he could work toward a law tacking more federal charges onto criminals who wear armor while committing crimes. But I'm not sure by what mechanism he would be able to felonize all body armor purchase, possession, and wear.

I could easily be wrong.

The "executive action" doesn't work that way, nor does an "executive order" allow the president to create legislation out of thin air.

ATF was able to "interpret" the definition of "machinegun" as laid out in the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968, there's no equivalent existing legislation to shoehorn body armor into.

I know parents should bore children, train them like caveman and unleash them on the world to create havoc and despair and when they go sideways it's only the child's fault.

It’s already a felony to wear body armor in the commission of a crime. Probably ten diff levels of it depending on what state you’re in at the time.

Let’s make more laws so it’s extra illegal because the ones we have aren’t…what? Clear enough?

Outlawing objects is just prolonging the inevitable, which is that the next a**h*** will just find a diff way to maximize his kills. Eventually society will be naked and unarmed and the f***ing crazies and criminals will be sporting SBRs, PC’s and NODs, while the .gov moves on to ban our TVs so we just can’t see it anymore.

Couldn't help but notice they run the same playbook for climate change.

The pathetic part is that they care so much about their agenda and so little about children that they will only propose one of their agenda items as a "solution", even though it won't prevent a similar tragedy from occurring again. Count on it. Whatever they propose, had it been in place, would at most change the numbers a bit but not the outcome and as likely won't even do that (e.g. UBC). If you want to change the outcome of a security failure, you're going to need a security-based solution, but never in a million years will they go there.

Usually these shooters are f***ing relentlessly bullied to the point of literal ptsd while everyone turns their f***ing back to it and then pumps the kid full of adhd meds and and SSRI and then we sit back scratching our f***ing heads....the left blames guns and the right just says "meh, ain't my kid so I don't care".....the whole society is f***ing sick.
