ring height varries a bit depending on manucture. Plus depends on mount, and scope objective size.
How much you need to clear your sight.
consider any scope lens covers you may use. i cut mine to fit if needed.
You can use clay to get idea of ring height.

i run a 8x32x44 scope on mine and have a set of burris rings. I for the life of me cant remember low or medium.
