Thats a nice gift to yourself….whats a 5k case run these days?
Thats the way to do it.

My dads method works well
Buy what you think you will shoot in a year
Then every time you think your going to the range buy 2x as much as your going to shoot.
You should never run out and build a nice stock pile
Buy 1000
Shoot 250
Buy 500
1250 now on the shelf
Shoot 500
Buy 1000
1750 on the shelf
