I getting a lever action Winchester 30-30 model 94 and the lever seems to wanna not stay closed. Any one know what this cold be? I wish I had more details to share but as for now that's all I have. Thanks,

I don't know if this is the issue or not, but there is a safety device built into these guns in the form of a small button under the lever. The gun won't fire unless you are holding the lever up against the stock.
Is it just holding 1/8" or so from closed, or is it more than that?

It feels more like 1/4" maybe a little worn? I also did a google search and found this on another forum..
My m94 lever wouldn't latch and it turned out to be a broken lever latch plunger spring. Got the part(s) i needed from Numrich. If that's the problem it's an easy fix.
