308 die set

Looking for a new 308 die set. I purchased just the basic rcbs carbide set for 6.5cm. Works nicely. Just wondering if it is worth doing the buy once cry once thing and going with something like the rcbs matchmaster or other higher quality die set?

I have these:

Most of mine are lee carbide. Ya i know shouldn't have said that have couple nice sets but havent noticed much difference between

Check concentricity and overall length. If the bullets are seated straight and at the same depth +/- a few thou, what you have is plenty good. Then I would focus on:
* Good brass with uniform nech thickness and flash holes.
* Tuning the load to the rifle (seating depth, powder charge, etc.)
* Shooting a lot to build skilz.

Same here....tune the bullet size, and round OAL/bullet ogive to the chamber length in your rifle, and all the shit cockpitbob says.....I've never not gotten MOA.

But if your after more precision...then more power to you.....
