Took my family of .32s to the range today. First go was 7 rounds of PPU 71gr JHP (905fps/128ft-lbs) at 33 paces or ~35 feet. In order of firing were my 1939 PPk, 1920 M03 Colt, 1915 M14 Mauser, and last the 1943 Mauser HSc.

Round 1: 7 rounds/score 70

PPk: 55/0
Colt: 44/0
M14: 61/2X
HSc: 57/0

Round 2: 16 rounds PPU 71gr JRN, identical ballistics as the JHP. Had to add 2 more with the PPk as it has a 7 round magazine. Score now 230/23 rounds

PPk: 164/0
Colt: 169/1X
M14: 189/2X
HSc: 179/1X

Only flaw was a failure to feed on the HSc on the last round of the JHP. Funny thing the PPk was last - and that's my carry piece! I was always good with the M14; clunky, but accurate.

cool, I keep telling myself Im going to get the milsurp pistols out for a day of shooting....hmm maybe a winter C&R pistol postal match

They just dug out the front of the berms and laid in four feet of gravel for drainage. I’ve posted flooding pics in the past. Hope it works.

Depends on the frame. For example the M03 is .32 is light, but the same frame M08 in .380 is quite strong.

The heavier pistols shot better; recoil absorption. The PPk is harder to control.
