A friend if mine is considering a .22 LR snubbie because they believe (yet to be proven) that they are very recoil sensitive. I'd like to get this person to consider a more potent round in a snubbie. Have any of you had any experience with a revolver in .32 H&R magnum? I've never fired one or been in the vacinity when one was fired.

I carry one when I'm not carrying my 1911.

It's a great round, not a tremendous amount of recoil and has about the same ballistics as a .38+p. Six rounds go in a jframe as compared to 5 of the larger rounds.

I thinks it's one of the most underrated rounds ever made.

Yeah they do!

Can't the .327 mag also shoot .32S&W,32S&W long and .32 mag? I don't know if S&W makes one but Ruger does.

Smith & Wesson make one too!:

I currently load the .32 H&R with 90gr Berry's plated. Unless you reload you really want to
stay away from the .32 H&R. Federal 20 round boxes (about the only ammo you will find
locally) is almost $20. Black Hills makes ammo but I have never seen it on any shelves of
any store I have been in. If reloading, .32 H&R is dirt cheap to shoot. These are my wife's
favorite caliber to shoot. A little more oomph than a .22 so it feels like you have a firearm
in your grip. I don't load them hot for her but you can load these very hot (.38 SPL +P equivalent)
depending on the firearm (Ruger SP101, S&W 16-4, Ruger Single Actions). Great cartridge
loaded light and/or heavy.

Four Seasons has had a nice Smith and Wesson .32 for some time in the used revolver cabinet. It looks an awful lot like a 340. Short $$$ IIRC.

It's a 432PD and the asking price is $450 according to the FS used price list.
Kind of pricey if you ask me. I would definitely haggle over that price if I
wanted it.

Great little carry piece...6 rounds in the gun and a speed loader in your pocket. You can't beat it, don't even know you're carrying. I found a ton (20 boxes) of the Federal 32 H&R magnum in lead semi-wadcutter for $10 a box at Rileys last year...bought every box. it is obviously range stuff and I carry the federal JHP that cost me $17 a box. Picked some up at NorthShore Firearms and Rileys in NH as well. This is a carry piece and not a range gun so cost of ammo was marginal in my decision at the time I picked mine up last year. If you can grab that one at Four Seasons for $400 you'll have a great buy and never regret it.

Here's mine, just like the one at 4 Seasons if I remember correctly
