I shot a Sig P220 in .38 super today. It's the first .38 super I've ever shot. I didn't know the P220 was ever offered in .38 super. It was pleasant to shoot even with Buffalo Bore +P hollow points. The recoil was less than standard pressure .45acp.

.38 super is a great competition caliber. My buddy has a S&W performance center 1911 frame .38 super (old school 90's PC gun) and its really accurate and fun to shoot.

Having said that with 10MM making a resurgence I prefer it to .38 super just based on cost (I find 10mm cheaper than .38 super everywhere I go). Both are best utilized though when getting hot loads like the Buffalo Bore but not cheap to shoot.
