I have a 44 Mag Rifle with a round stuck in the chamber and the lever is halfway closed. Who can I bring it to to have it fixed. I live in the Shrewsbury area.

Oh man I've seen that before. A friend has a Winchester 44mag that the exact same thing happened to. Not sure of any 'smiths in your area, but have you taken a flashlight/ borelight and tried to see what's holding the action up? If I recall correctly it took my buddy 'bout 1/2 hour of fiddling with it to get things cleared up. Be careful if that's a live round though!

Can you tap the cartridge out using a wood dowl down the barrel? Pin should not be able to move till the bolt is closed. What model rifle??

Lever action rifles are easy to work on, remove the screw that holds the lever in and pull the lever down and out of the reciever. Then you should be able to remove the bolt. This should opeen things up enough to work on getting the round out of the chamber.
