The recommended load uses 2F , but 3F will work but a faster burn. Don't be so inclined to ram 70g of powder in attempts to replicate the "govt issue" recipe. Most precision target shooters will calculate the case volume after seating your bullet, fill the calculated case volume full of powder, then add a .030 wad and start adding incremental powder and compression and testing your groups. Find what powder charge and compression works best. I use a compression die that I machined myself. Works good for my 45-70 535 gr Creedmoore silouhette load with 68 gr of Swiss 1.5F I need to really crank on the compression to get to my required bullet seating depth.[ATTACH=full]962171[/ATTACH]
