Perhaps some hope going forward. The claim is that it is not from Russia and will be available sometime after they release their labeled 7.62x39. So id guess sometime in 2023

They are coming out with an AK-74 based rifle as well, so that'd make sense. Wonder what the quality and pricing is going to look like from PSA and KUSA who both have sold a ton of AKs in 2020-22, and both plan on making/selling their own branded 7.62 and 5.45

I had the chance to hold the KR9 from KUSA and for a US AK (9mm) it looked really nice. The rivets and craftsmanship looked on par with any other good import. Hopefully they continue to improve on the quality. Id love to own an American ak that i would fee 100% confident in. Not to mention i now want a KR9
