I was just reading a few different articles about this. At least two said the man came out of the van holding a "long gun". Curious as to why this isn't an "assault weapon" or "AR-15" or "AK-47" or whatever it was, but described as a "long gun". The news seems to love those catch words, so it was very odd it wasn't described as such here. Genuinely curious as to why.
