I am getting nervous. I just paid .18 a round shipped for 880rnds Hungarian light ball ammo. It is getting tight. Glad I picked up a few cases this year. jp

.18 a round is peanuts compared to what most ammo is going for these days.

I do understand that! The LC 7.62x51 that I paid $17 to $24.00 per 200 rnd pack is no where to be found. Non reloadable stuff is between .47 a .60 a round now.
A PSL can burn through ammo pretty quick, not as bad as my AK, but still pretty fast.
I am the nervous type, I get jittery when I fall below 3000 rounds in any caliber. [wink]
I was happy to find a few LC 5.56 battle packs I had forgot about.
It is funny how things work out w/ ammo, I had 2 cases of Barnuel 5.56 for sale at $60.00 a 550 round case about 2 years back, no one wanted it (washed, not lacquer). Now I get PM's on the boards they were advertised asking if I still have them. They are no longer for sale, Good ammo. jp

You can find less expensive ammo if you look in the right places.[wink]

I read your thread a few weeks ago. Although I was impressed I don't want to get into casting bullets at this time. I have so much reloading equipment and componants that I will hold off a while. I buy GC cast lead from Beartooth Bullets. They average $11.00 to $14.00 per 100. I use them in 6.5x55, 8x57, .303, 7.62x54r. They are the best cast bullets availible. Marshall is the only manufacturer that produces a true Kieth bullet for handguns. He has been written up many times.
