I plan on buying both of these firearms, but I only have enough cash to get one right now. I'm not sure which to get first. Maybe some of you degenerates can offer some insight. I'm leaning towards the sp2022 just to save some cash in the short term. Thanks.

Absolutely love my SP2022. Balance is great, trigger is perfect, has nightsights and rails for a streamlight (I use a TLR-3). For the price the value is hard to beat, no issues to report with mine.

I have a Beretta 92FS INOX Compact. It has a rail like a 92A1.

It's the most reliable, sexy-est, most comfortable to shoot and best pistol I've shot. After about 400 rounds, it's had no issues and I mostly shoot Tulammo and WWB out of it.

I'd imagine the full sized 92A1 would be even more comfortable to shoot because its bigger.

Also, the Beretta 92 series is extremely easy to take apart. You push a button and turn a lever to get the slide off, and after that it's pretty basic.

Just curious, aren't they both full size 9mm? Why not pick one and then buy something different for your second?

I'm probably missing something though. [thinking]

edit: I also want both lol

I haven't seen the sp2022 around in about 5 months. It's a very underrated gun for the price, during the summer I saw them at Four Seasons for $399 that included Sig Night Sights vs a used 92Fs that they currently have listed for $500. The down side is that the 2022 comes with just one mag and the mags are somewhat hard to find for a good price.

These are just two on a very long list of firearms that I'd like to buy. I'm just trying to pace myself. Thanks for the input. I ended up purchasing the sp2022 and hopefully the 92a1 will be in my safe by the end of the year. But a 1911 might be in order...

As someone who can't abide having to use low-capacity magazines, I'd always recommend the 92A1 due it its ability to use pre-ban 92FS magazines which are still very available. The SP2022 is a great gun for the price though and possibly a better choice if you aren't concerned with capacity. A good friend of mine just picked up a M9A1 and having gotten to handle it I liked it quite a lot, though the single action trigger pull was a lot heavier than I would have liked. It would need a trigger job out of the box, for sure.

Both are great guns. But a SIG. Is a SIG. Everything else is just a gun. My SP2022 is just as accurate and reliable as my 229. Something the classic P series doesn't offer is the interchangeable backstrap. I picked a 17 round Mecgar up at $34 shipped. That's not horrible. The 10 rounders are all over fleebay for short money.

+1

Sp2022 is a great gun for the money. The interchangeable grips are nice too. In my experience the mecgar mags have worked 100%
