A true story

From what I was able to gather the pistol was in Condition 3 meaning no round in the chamber. Why is that? Absolutely no excuse for not having a pistol ready to go. A sure sign of very poor training and lack of familiarity with a weapon. I don't understand part of the post either. That type of pistol, like the 1911 has tha grip safety which must be depressed in order for it to fire.
I'm not sure if that's part of the issue here too.

As far as criticism for running into someone, stuff happens and your relative apologized and that should have been the end of it.

Hey there NES Happy New Year Thought I would share a story that happened to a family member of mine yesterday.(new years eve). My family member is a armed security officer that carries a Xds 9mm 4.0 for a national grocery chain that I wont mention. At 17:30 while he was in the store he was pushing a grocery cart with money in the cart with one of the store employees when a gentleman stopped in front him causing my family member to run into his back heel with the shopping cart the man became enraged and started swearing my family member then apologized and started that the guy suddenly stopped and it happened so fast that he could not have avoided it and he apologized the guy refused to accept the apology and started getting irate. thankfully the other security officer came in to diffuse the situation and escort the guy out of the store. At 18:05 my family member exited the store walking to the parking lot when the customer from earlier saw him spotted him the customer threw two throwing knives at him never even seeing what was coming for him the knife immediately made his arm freeze up at which my family member pulled his Xds out and told the guy to back up or he would shoot it was then he tried to chamber a round and because he was not able to fully hold the safety device in the back of his firearm the slide would not rack back thankfully the guy ran off this is very sad but a lesson learned that if you have a LTC with no restrictions and you carry you should always carry with a round in the chamber and also might want to think about having a Xds as a carry gun since they have crazy safety features but as always stay safe and always be aware of your surroundings.

Wow horrible......

I don't what you said here....

Robjax, headednorth - thanks for the summary. Couldnt agree more with the guidance. Shame some clubs, including my current one, frown on movement while firing, drawing from concealment, etc.

2 throwing knives, seriously?? WTF was this a ninja supermarket?

And for god's sake learn how to compose sentences!

When someone doesn't use punctuation I just hear a long run on sentence that never stops as if Ben Stein just keeps sitting there saying Bueller Bueller but im not sure what else im supposed to think or hear or who knows what the point is any more and it keeps going and going and omgzzzzz make it stop please dafuq the voices arggghhhhhhhh theyre still going and going on and on and blah blah blah.

Then, There's my wife's aunt who types like this sticking. random punctuation. in her FB posts which drive me friggin nuts as. well.

So I assume the cops were called. How did his employer react to his fumble on this play. How about the store, did they think he did a good job?

The entire incident in the parking lot could have been avoided if he just lit up a KOOL when he stepped outside. Or better yet an unfiltered LUCKEY.[wink]

A few more ?s did your friend take pics of these their ng ninja knives? Did CSI-MA print threse knives since this may have been attemped murder. Was your friend taking part in the festivities if you know what I mean? Thee story leaves out the pertinent details.

Lasrge chain store should have some video inside and out, I know the sdtop snfd shop near me has good coverasge.

I'm not familiar with XDs - does one need to be holding the grip safety in to rack the slide? You certainly don't with a 1911.

Did the knife thrower throw a smoke bomb and then disappear?

Yes, you do.
Did the knife thrower throw a smoke bomb and then disappear?

Possibly, if he's a ninja. On the other hand, if the story is total and complete bullshit, you don't have to worry about silly details like where the perp went.

Don't forget about the shot a second rule at most clubs too. Gotta keep that stream of fire controlled.

Well, I HAD been wondering what the Mall Ninja was up to nowadays...

Edit: Guy in original story needs to duct tape two plates to his back like the mall ninja.

Why on God's green earth was there not a round in the chamber to begin with? Failure number one.

As for the total hack job of sentence structure. Failure number two.

You both need to return to school.

Your family member learned a very valuable lesson at almost no cost.

If he doesn't change his ways the next lesson will/may cost dearly...

Happy New Year!

Longest sentence ever on NES,I am sure of it.

It's hard to tell because some of these kinds of posts got deleted in the past. I bet there is one longer than that, somewhere. That's probably in the top 5 though of all time, easy....

It made me think of this...

and this...

Can't get past the first couple lines of this--not worth the time to try to decipher. OP, if you'd like readers to invest the effort to understand and respond to your post, first demonstrate that you value their time by making an effort yourself to write clearly. No need for War and Peace. Simple declarative sentences will do the trick. When you make a modest effort, prospective readers will know you're serious and respect their time, and they'll reciprocate.

He is lucky to make it home alive. Why didn't his partner shoot? I was always under the assumption one stays in the truck at all times. (Company policy) Did he play with dolls growing up? Seriously, smack him and teach him how to carry a gun and get rid of that xds, rather carry a Sigma. Get him an m&p40 or 9 fillsize with no safety, worse case shoots himself in the leg, kid needs to learn somehow...

P.s my new years resolution for nes sake is to use proper grammer and punctuation, how did I do?
After typing like a jackass for so long, I've forgotten how to use punctuation marks lol.
