I got to handle one of these today and it is a very interesting and beautiful piece.

It's an immensely intimidating weapon with that huge shotgun barrel staring at you under the 9 .44 cal rounds.

It has a good description at Cabela's, hence the link and picture.

It's at Strickland's available for $495 and doesn't look like it's been fired.

I wish I had a spare $495 laying around.

Man that front site looks fragile.
Great gun design though, I was always impressed seeing them on Tales of the Gun episodes.

Ah...a Lemat a favorite of the Confederate Cavalry. For those of us of a certain age we recall that it was also the choice of TV's "Johnny Ringo" back in the Golden Age of Television and Television Westerns during the "gimmick weapon phase" (Lucas McCain's tricked up 1892 Winchester, Bat Masterson's cane, and Josh Randle's "Mare's Leg" etc.)

I think it would be a fun gun to own and shoot.
