Last night, law enforcement officials confirmed that the gunman in Lewiston, Maine, likely used a Ruger SFAR, an AR-10 that fires a .308 caliber cartridge, even more powerful than the AR-15.
Now they are after Ruger for making a more powerful gun than the evil AR-15
“The Ruger SFAR is the latest example of the how the gun industry innovates for lethality," Josh Sugarmann, executive director of the Violence Policy Center, said in a statement "Marketing for the gun brags how Ruger has successfully created a more powerful weapon on a smaller, lighter frame. It is long past time to hold accountable manufacturers such as Ruger that manufacture assault weapons that are repeatedly and predictably used in horrific mass shootings.”
