Acton, Mass. -
After 17 years with the Acton Police Department, Lt. Don Palma is moving on down the road — 15 miles to be exact.

Palma will take over as chief of the 17-officer Groton Police Department on Oct. 1....

Does anyone know anything about this guy? How about the ALP situation currently in Acton?

Dunno about today, but back in the late 90's Acton was A-ALP or nothing. Only reason they would issue an FID was if age was an issue. The name does ring a bell. He might actually have been the guy doing the licenses then.

Since he's already got the job, go meet him and ask. I did that when my town got a new chief.
