I have an old air rilfe I bought ages ago I want to get rid of (.177 cal, runs on the gas tubes, 10 round rotary clip)...is the process to sell it the same as any other firearm (efsa10 or FFL) or can I just sell it privately without all that?

Not a gun, not a firearm. IANAL, but you could probably sell it at a kid's lemonade stand and not get pinched.

I sure hope not, I get all my airguns through the mail. I've heard Craigslist frowns upon pellet guns, but you could try there. Or on our classifieds.

It is not a firearm under Federal or State* law

It is only regulated under MGL 269-12A (no sale/furnishing to minors).

*MGL 269-10(j) notwithstanding.

Thanks all...figured but wanted to check. Been a long time since I've dealt with airguns. You never know in this state...could be a "scary assault weapon" or something. :)
