AK Go / No Go Guage dimensions?

how about google?
just search for 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 headspace gauge dimensions

however machining those is a PITA manually w/o cnc. usually they need to be heat treated afterwards.

i think it's just easier to buy them.

i know brownells had them in the past, they still do Headspace Gauges | Measuring Tools at Brownells

I haven't had much luck Googling... and free is better than not free.

Which caliber?

7.62 X 39 & 5.45 X 39

I'm assuming the top is the cartridge, and the bottom image is the gauge?

Also.... how the F' did you find that? The website isn't even in english! [bow]

No, the top is the cartridge dimensions and the bottom is the chamber dimensions.

CIP min: 1.2513"
Couldn't find CIP max in inches, but the CIP website specifies 0.10mm max. That's about .004"

The SAAMI specs are a bit looser: http://www.saami.org/PubResources/CC_Drawings/Rifle/7_62x39.pdf

SAAMI min: 1.252" (31.80 mm)
SAAMI max: 1.262" (32.05 mm) (that's MAX max, aka "field gauge." Really should be no more than about 1.255" or so if it's a properly built new rifle.)

(Keep in mind that the shoulder angles are slightly different between SAAMI and CIP, so that will effect the relative position of the datum line.)

Here's another link that might help: http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=4&f=51&t=116151
