AK with a treaded barrel?

So i picked up a Bulgarian AK during the month of November from a dealer in Mass and have now just got around to giving it a good cleaning to get rid of the grease. The was a bit of build up near the slant brake and as a cleaned it i noticed a little button and a notch on the slant brake and sure enough you push in the button and turn the brake to the left and it spins right off. So now i have an AK with a threaded barrel. Is this a pre-ban? did it mistakenly make it in to Mass when it shouldn't have? Any thoughts?

It doesn't mean anything right now. It could be a preban, or it could have been someone who bought it and modified it. You have to dig into it deeper to find out for sure. Is there any evidence of a welded spot anywhere around the seam that might have had a dremel or hacksaw taken to it?

Does it have all wood furniture? Does it have a bayo lug?

All plastic US funiture and no Bayo-lug

Gun came from a distributor Campfor i believe

This one is looking like it may be the answer. But the only way to be sure is check the SN with the dist.
