"Оба автомата прошли госипытания, оба соответствуют тем тактико-техническим требованиям, которые выдвигали в Министерстве обороны. Небольшие недочеты по результатам госиспытаний сейчас устраняются», – сказал О.Мартьянов. "

That's not the aek-971 that useing a weird floating barrel .

One of the deigns I've seen just used a weight and a spring . The gas port acted like a t . Gas moved the bolt carrier like normal and also flung a weight forwards .

Well actually, the AKs of the future are taking shape quite nicely here in the states .

Challenges have always fueled creativity and innovation. Domestic AK manufacturers and repackages are certainly rising to the occasion. Rifle Dynamics AKs (which I believe are based on the American Spud receiver) are on a 3 to 6 month delivery schedule. Destructive Device Industries is producing milled receiver AK's (using tooling acquired from Waffen Works) that is getting excellent reviews. I'm sure that's just touching the surface.

That's Abakan, AN-94, it can shoot single, auto or 2-round bursts where two bullets are speeding toward the target before shooters even feel the recoil, i.e. double tap. One more thing we'll never see here in states, I mean us, regular peasants.
