All Star Tactical Lowers Pre-Order

I didn't preorder because I'm strapped for cash and just wrecked my car, so I don't know how they're doing the FFL.

Also, I didn't know this at the time, but they weren't capping the preorder, so who knows when you'll actually get your lower.

I just got my Bravo DRFT edition lower this week. I ordered it the first week of January. I did bug them every few weeks.

I had emailed at the end of Sept as well as the middle of November asking for status updates, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt as many places have been swamped with orders. I had emailed the info@ email address and got no response. Emailed the support@ email address couple days ago finally fed up and asked for a refund since I ordered in January and did at least expect to get the product by the end of the year. After all, the madness has calmed down and I've been able to get lowers and uppers from other small businesses no problem.

Got a response last night stating that they never got an email from me, and they had some of the billet uppers kicking around and could probably send me one next week and that they are still way behind on producing their billet uppers. The uppers on the website are still at this moment being advertised as being ready in June/ July of 2013. Still no word on the lowers that are advertised as ready in late 2013.

Was also told they could issue me a credit at a 15% RESTOCKING FEE, or I can take it in store credit. I find it not only bad business, but pretty insulting to charge a customer a restocking fee for a product that they admit they have not even produced yet (the lower). They have held my money (over $500) for 12 months, and I still have no product.

The thing that kills me the most is that I'm all about supporting small businesses, especially one that's in the NE, in occupied territory (upstate NY) and a strong 2A supporter. I purchased the lower because it was the DRFT special edition and a family member in MA is a big supporter of DRFT, and so am I. I think I'm going to post about this in the general discussions area as well to give people a heads up.

Should have done this earlier, but just googled them and found a thread on a different firearms website with nothing but bad things to say, and a bunch more pissed off customers.

You might also want to mention to DRFT because it looks bad for them too. I'm sorry that you're having to deal with this.

Thanks, I just text my brother telling him what happened and to forward my thoughts to DRFT. Learned my lesson on panic buying on this one! Good thing I don't mind putting up a fight, gonna contact my CC company to start the refund process.

email mike@allstartactical and see what he has to say.

I have been reading the same responses all year. I understand they are a small shop and recently moved. I knew it was a pre-order with a moving date so I just sat back and said screw it.

They have to know that they are pissing people off. Maybe they don’t care or maybe they are in over their heads. I gave them a try and I did receive my lower so I’m satisfied.

I don’t think there was any intention of trying to rip anyone off it just was bad timing with Sandy Hook and a new business trying to get going. I will say that every time I emailed Mike I received a response.

Mike is the one that replied to my email. After doing the research it seems like lots of people have had trouble with him and getting refunds. My biggest problem is communication. I have orders in with other small companies and I get general email updates as well as personal emails from said company with updates and additional offers/ deals to make up for the wait.

Don't want to get Matt involved, what goes around comes around and I'm sure he'll catch wind of it. At this point I just want my money back to buy products from good reputable companies, or local companies here in NH.

HA. No. I didn't . Oops. But at least I wasn't the one to resurrect it. Someone already did that today in post number 7.

That was me. Once I finally got fed up I turned to the wonderful people on NES to see if anyone else had any experiences with this company which lead me to this thread. Resurrected it to see if anyone else had a similar experience and to rant/ vent a bit. Now I want a beer, is it 5:00 yet?
