Americans Arming Themselves With Coming Ban on Guns

" Just as millions of arms have been collected in anticipation of an Obama led assault on our God-given rights, it is incumbent upon Americans to use those arms when the time comes. Those who refuse to do so will no longer be Americans, they will be the enemy."

The ending is the best.

Yep, that was my favorite part as well.

I don't agree with those numbers though.

Me neither... of course, they may be correct in that those are the numbers of REGISTERED guns, not the total number of firearms. Add in the ones that are old enough to not have registrations, and the few hundred that are home builts that do not need to be registered...

This topic is going to need its own sub-forum.

Everybody wants to incite panic buying, nobody can back up claims of this mythical "Coming Ban on Guns"

come on now we are having a good conversation now get your damn facts and logic out of the way. I personally feel he wont get a ban done right now only because he has way more important crap to start working on like say Syria, falling off the fiscal cliff, and the retirement reform.

I tend to agree with you on this. There are many more issues that need to be addressed right now. My only concern is that the country is cornered into a planned fiscal nosedive with impending urban/suburban violence and BO initiates many of his exec. orders and or NDAA banning the use and ownership of all weaps. Right now, any attempted passages of laws outright banning of semi firearms or declaring them a different class with a tax would have difficulty without a grandfather clause, the house and more likely the senate would not allow this through. There are several democrats in the senate from states that are big on hunting/shooting/ownership. Also the supreme court is still a 5-4 right leaning along with some key decisions passed recently in favor of ownership. Again, a manufactured crisis, the most likely being a fiscal collapse, is BO's best hope for totalitarian control.

Liberals don't give a shit about people being killed with guns, in fact it isn't even about guns. It's about power and control. Gun control is just another mean to an end.

Pretty soon we'll need a second mortgage to buy a gun with this mad rush. It's only going to drive up price gouging. There's so many companies making AR parts and assesories that you should be able to buy one for a few hundred dollars.

I think Obeezy took out a copyright on the word "Tactical". That's why parts are so expensive.

He cant unilaterally ban so much as a fart in a can

This is the president who had American citizens murdered without so much as a how-do-you-do, let alone due process, and nobody said boo because they looked like evil terrarists.

Don't be so sure about what he can and can't do.

I'm shocked that there is panic buying now. I'll be just as shocked six months from now when everyone has forgotten about Obama's re-election and absolutely nothing changes.

All the firearms and ammunition manufacturers should get together and send Obama and the media some nice gift baskets for cranking up their sales again.

Exactly! It is true that Obama should be hailed as the greatest gun salesman of all time! Who knows, maybe this is all part of his secret economic recovery package.[laugh]

So when potus says he would like to reinstate the awb, that doesn't mean anything to you?

Nope, because the POTUS we have has no track record actually signing one, unlike Mittens. ALSO... what he says and does are two different things. People fapping until their pants are stiff over Yet Another Ban claim (YABc) are so full of crap their eyes are brown.

Not this ignorant shit again.

Enemy combatant killed, now everybody wants to sing Kumbaya because he was an American that took a big ol shit on the US, but that's ok, because like... he should get a trial even though he's killing US citizens with his direct actions.

GMAFB. Only thing more bull is when these people who want to call this a murder then babble on about giving a shit about the military, because they don't, otherwise they'd STFU about the death of an enemy combatant who was instrumental in putting our people in danger.

There are a majority of government idiots on the state and federal level who can and will mess with our rights. These infringements can come in many forms and from many directions especially when these idiots feel emboldened buy recent elections in their favor.

In 1998(?), I distinctly remember the outcome of MASS AG Harshbarger's consumer protection and safety regulations. [puke]

One day I was in a gun shop with a variety of new Colt 1911s, new Glocks, new Kimbers, new Springfield Armory handguns, etc. for sale. The very next week, all of those guns were hidden and not available for sale except to law enforcement. In MASS, to this day, I can not buy a new Colt or new Glock or new Kimber, etc. from an FFL dealer simply because it does not have a frickin' loaded chamber indicator or something-or-other when residents of all neighboring states (ME, NH, VT, RI) can freely buy these. [angry2] If it's so unsafe, then why can residents from all neighboring states buy them?!

SO my point is, the bans can come from any direction. So, I think, being a little wary of gun bans is not being paranoid.

Loaded chamber indicator, a lot like a safety on a gun, both nice to have but neither to be completely relied upon.
