My favorite ads are the ones that list all of the parts and "upgrades" that no one wants except the guy who bought them, and the prices for them, so that you know what they have into the gun.
Ads like...

XYZ pistol chambered in 45 acp - Less than 1000 rounds through it.
Price new - $2000
Custom finish that I liked - $500
New grips that are not your favorite - $200
Trigger job - $200
Another accessory that you never would have purchased - $300
Something else you don't want - $200

Total price $3400
sales tax - $212.50
Transfer fee - $25
Gas to drive to the LGS - $10

Total I have into the gun $3647.50
Price - $3500 firm

This gun is so amazing right out of the box that I spent $1400 in upgrades, but I still want to sell it.
Will throw in a used holster and a spare magazine.
Transfer at my LGS located on the dark side of the moon. Buyer pays fee.
