Any Colt revolver gurus here?

I have a Colt OP (927XXX serial #, 1969 vintage) with 80% finish left I am considering selling. It locks up nice and tight. It's an ex NYPD duty gun, but the cylinder release is "sticky". Does anyone have any Colt experience. I believe it's gummed up, so I'll blast it with some gun scrubber. Thanks.

4 inch, no pics. Grips numbered to revolver. Typical holster wear to topstrap, barrel and cylinder. Wear on backstrap from heel of hand on it.

An application of elbow grease and CLP got it back to 100%.
