Shooting has again peaked my wife's interest, and after she suggested going to the range this weekend, she mentioned she was trying to find a book to learn more about guns. My first thought was "Firearms for Dummies" but apparently they don't make that one! She's taken her certification class, but has yet to apply for her license. I did a little researching, but I figured asking NES would be better than reading amazon reviews! Something with general info, differences in calibers, shoot tips, etc... would be awesome. Thanks!

Be careful with a lot of the self defense books out there - Armed Response is pretty good, but In the Gravest Extreme has some "antiquated" ideas towards what women should carry (I've heard, I'm an awful person and haven't actually read my copy, yet.)

I'll second Cornered Cat. www.thebredafallacy.com is a great gun blog, written by a woman.

Save your book money, sign her up for NES [smile]
