I'm a noobie and don't belong to a club yet.

Any ranges open to public on Sundays? I want to try out my new SD40. I'm in the Boston area. I don't mind driving out 10 or 15 miles out.

American Firearms School in North Attleboro. They charge $20 per hour for non-members.
But call first. Seems I remember them changing their rules recently. They're right off 95. Probably a good half hour to 40 minutes from some parts of Boston though.
Best to find a club. Cheaper that way. Most that are open to the public are only open for trap and skeet. The pistol ranges are usually private. Any with indoor ranges require safety check and qualification.

With the exception of Leominster, the other pistol ranges on that list are only open for 'competitive' shooting. ie league matches.
Call first.
North Leominster isn't listed but is only open to the public for trap shooting on Saturday, Sunday, and sometimes Thursdays in summer (pistol range is members only).

P.s. you can get an awesome breakfast for ~$5 @ LSA Sunday mornings in the Fall-Spring!
