They are extremely low priced, but have a NRR of 25db!

What is the downside to them? Also, I'm looking for a set of muffs that I can use for everything from high power shooting, to pistol, to trap.

Would these work for all those uses? 2 of them? 1? None?

I have a pair. They're pretty good for the price. Like many of the lower-priced versions you may notice some 'clipping' in the audio circuit when they shut down after a loud noise and then cut back in. A minor issue, and actually not as bad as some of the other low-price ones I've tried. They're a little lighter in weight then most, and I find them reasonably comfortable.

The biggest advantage to them is the thin part at the bottom of the earcups. It allows you to get down a little more on a rifle stock, but depending on your physical build and the rifle configuration, you're still likely to get an occasional 'bump' against a stock.

I see these selling online for $26.99 to $47.99. If you can locate a pair for <$30 I'd give them a shot. If you don't like them they come in handy as a backup pair to loan to a new shooter or someone with you that forgets their ears on a range trip.

I've had mine for about a year. I would probably buy another pair if they crapped out on me.

EDIT: One minor thing: I think the NRR is 23db, not 25db, but I could be wrong.
