recently picked up a kahr CT45, the budget 45acp model with 4" barrel. great little gun shoots awesome.

in stock form it has a 7 round mag but the grip is ridiculously long, like way longer than necessary. i would love to have the grip chopped to the length of a P45/CW45 (6 round mag configuration).

anyone out there found a 'smith in the eastern Mass area who does good work on kahr grip chopping? i typically use 1776 gunsmithing for all needed work but just wondering who out there has experience w grip chops on kahr models.

thanks everyone.

If you have it chopped to p45/cw45 grip length you can then use a 1911 officer mag any save another 1/4". Lots of info on the the kahr forum to make the mod. I use a mecgar mag with kahr spring and follower. If you are have it done make sure to post some pics:) I was thinking about having it done to my p45, cutting the grip to pm45 length. Kahr used to make them in 9/40 and called them "covert" models.
