Anyone concerned about a BaoFeng ban?

Picked up some foldable 29" antennas, buddy that has the same radios says it helps getting better range and a clearer signal.

Didn't have time today to drive around town testing them, I will hook up with my buddy tomorrow and report back.

30.00 bucks usually scum bag places have them in stock.

A Chinese clone of a Chinese clone is still a Chinese clone. Probably at least as good as whatever was "original", right?

Maybe moving to the new UV-S9 sets a new goalpost/threshold for them.

Sadly, this is something I didn't have in my preps.
I bought some S5's a week ago on Amazon, delivery date: Feb 15th.

dual band for $100 or less... these prob use the same chip as Baos but better engineering.

Actually I have this one, I thought I had the BaoFeng but it's been so long since I used it. This is easy to program too.

I grabbed a BF-F8HP (3rd Gen UV-5R?) off of Amazon from ‘the BAOFENG store’ believe it’s just their retailer page on there. Back in November. Glad I did with the uncertainty of media censorship and sudden influx of panic buying I guess.
