Anyone watch Season 2 of "The Lioness"?

Lots of Sig Sauer MCX Spear rifles (if I'm identifying them correctly, please correct me if I'm wrong). Almost thought it was a commercial for Sig, thought they had the new Army contract already :D On a side note, not a bad show. Although the main character, "Joe" played by Zoe Saladna, is hard nosed but then goes soft. It's an odd character flaw for someone on such a specific run silent/run deep unit.

50 year old, 90 pound Zoe Saldana beating up guys half her age and 3 times her size? She’s still a grade-A hottie, and I think Taylor Sheridan is involved, so maybe it’s pretty good. Looks like there are some other hot chicks in it, too. Maybe they’ll all get into a pillow fight in their panties after defeating isis?

I actually have heard a lot of good things about the show, so it may be worth a watch.

Smoking hot is just as good as being strong in Hollywood. These bitches look like they can’t bench press an umbrella but they can run around with a rifle and full kit beating the shit out of 220 lb 6’2” professional soldiers because hot. Totally realistic.

I did see that. It was an entertaining action film. I think that she’s absolutely beautiful. No lip filler or fake cheekbones (I don’t think). Very natural beauty.
 
57??? She's always looked at least 10 years older than me and she's really only 2 years older.

That's a HARD 57. At least for 2024 it is. (For 1975, she's a smokeshow 57. Think on this: Bea Arthur was just 5 years old when she starred in Golden Girls.)

I've never found her that attractive. I've always thought if I jumped her, I'd break some bones or something and stab myself in the peen0r in the process.

You can Broc Tuah all over that thing. I'll pass. Julia Roberts had the same thing. Just got old faster than you'd expect for her early beauty. I'd say Courtney Cox too, but she had so much early work done - not sure if because of age or hard drugs or dragging her face along the pavement at 80mph. She looked hard by the end of Friends. She doesn't look MUCH worse now, but it was a bad start, so. . . . .
 
I kinda liked the first half of S1 of Lioness….but then it went off the rails with endless inexplicably bad decisions by “the lioness” and I hate watched it to the end and wished it a speedy cancellation

Guess I didn’t get my wish….

The last few min of season 1 were insane. Highlights just how chirp quiet 300 subs can be. All you hear are dying wails and moans lol

It’s not like that, Saldana is the boss, most of the action is done by the team of other actors. It’s really another Unit kind of show, about a special forces team. It’s decent but not really enough to keep my attention, probably cause it’s almost all female. The action scenes are well done.

I've tried and failed to watch The Old Man on FX with the same issues. S2 started out OK. But S1 ends with "oh THIS is the head guy they need to deal with." BY S2E3, nope. It's someone else entirely. It would be one thing to keep me guessing. But these guys are tradecrafters. They're SUPPOSED to understand the system. And they don't!

It's like the various recent Bond movies. Eva Greene dies. Next movie - I did that! BAM! Following movie - I was directing that dude so I did that! BAM! Next movie - I was behind that guy you just killed and I'm the real bad guy. BAM! It was the same plot over and over again.

They do have an endless supply of “old men” in the FX show…I was shocked to see Joel Grey was technically still alive

I am letting the eps backlog for that show, I think it is better as binge

I'm 3 or 4 (probably 4 this week) deep in teh DVR. I'm slogging through the A-A-Ron Hernandez story. If the story is remotely true, we were too harsh on his wife. And damn - the guy got more dude-ass than p-word. It can't be more than 1 more week, maybe 2 after this week. (I'm a week behind currently and he still isn't arrested after killing 2 dudes and shooting a 3rd.)

What gets me about that show is: Was NO ONE on htat team or staff close to him???? Is that normal? No one saw that he was that much of a problem?
