My Colt 6940 & 6944

Nice! I have been contemplating a 6940 upper. I would go with a pinned 6944, but can't seem to find one. Any complaints?

I scored a 14.5" match barrel from BA while they had their labor day weekend sale, went through my parts bin recently and realized I had most of the rest of the parts to slap together a pretty gnarly "mini-SPR" upper. Changed out the rifle stock on my SPR lower and added a BAD type lever for right hand manipulation while prone. Took the 2-10x I had on my rifle upper and added LaRue's RMR mount to the LT-104 it sits in.

It is surprisingly light weight and effectively 1-10x now. I am looking forward to getting to the range and seeing what it will do and spending the day beating up on Pemi's steel. I am going to add a Surefire M600df and a Law Tactical folder and it will be done.

I put a Viper PST 3-15x on my rifle upper so it is still in service.

jeezus, andy, i'm diggin' that paint on your rifle, nice. i'm not one for painting rifles but i'd do this to one of mine. my rifles basically are range toys but in a "what if" situation, i could see that paint scheme being pretty useful in the wooded areas of new england no matter the season. be careful where you lay it down out there, with some sun and cast shadows you'd loose it. [laugh]

Thanks.
Practice and experiment with your camo scheme on a short piece of 2x4 first.
Paraphrased for you: "This is my range toy, there are many like it, but this one is mine."
