AR front sight work

I need recommendations for the North Shore area. I have a virgin a2 front sight and barrel that I need drilled and tapper pinned. Also while it is there just the other basic stuff comp pinned and welded, and barrel nut trq down.

What style rifle are you building. I'm working on my next project which I decided will be a optics based project but plan on imstalling the Yankee hill clamp on front sight/gas block with folding sight or something like this which is held by set screws and windage adjustable. Front Sight Base, A2, Forged, FA Power Wedge, with Bayonet Lug, .750

I have a Colt match HBAR A2 20", I built a 16" middy free float with low gas block this build I am going for a 14.5" pinned comp w/ A2 front sight with mbus rear. Main sight being a Aimpoint or Eotech. But I need to get the front drilled and taper pinned.

The taper pin requires a taper reamer to cut, be sure you get a smith who has done it before with the right tooling.

Mac I did think about that but would rather the normal A2 sight.

Greg it has been a pain no one around here has the stuff to do it. The smith doesn't need to be on the north shore but it has been a pain to find one.

Try Mike Pigney in Taunton. I know he's not on the north shore, but I used him all the time when I was in MA, and he does top notch work.
