AR question

OK, I'm a complete AR neophyte. My knowledge level isn't low, it just plain isn't.

I have a couple of NES lowers and I'm really itching to get an upper on one so I can shoot it. Problem is it will take me a long time to build something given my lack of knowledge. So I want to get a complete upper for one while I take the time to learn and build the other.

What is a decent upper for reasonable money? I'm not looking for top of the line, but I don't want a piece of crap either.
