AR upper Q

So I decided ti build an AR. Got myself a spikes spider theme lower, got a lpk in a group buy. Stock will be here tomorrow. Got a takeoff barrel, gas tube and block, and handguard from a friend. It appears I need an upper and all the guts.
What do they call an upper with all the parts except a barrel? Any suggestions for best price? I am in NH, so shipping is no issue. Just trying to keep costs down on tne range toy.

Upper receivers by themselves are sold as stripped (empty) or as complete (forward assist & dust cover installed) Or as part of a complete upper (barrel, gas system and forearm installed)

A forged stripped upper complete with dust (ejection port) cover and forward assist pre-installed, should run you around $125. I'm waiting for BCM to email me to say they're back in stock. Seems supply is limited on upper receivers everywhere....

Look for M4 feed ramps (assuming your barrel has them), and the dry lube coating inside. 7075 aluminum is stronger than 6061. Look for T-marks, too.
