I got a couple mags off of a Nes member . After I got them in the mail I started playing with then . They have the weird push tab on the bottom that my 10 and 3 30 rounds don't have .
Also noted that the follower can tip.

Do they make rebuild kits for these ? Ones with anti tilt followers?

I wouldn't worry about it. If they are GI 20 rounders with the alluminum followers, they are already some of the most reliable mags out there. as long as the springs are still good the mags should give you years of trouble-free service.

Brownells do sell rebuild kit for 20rds GI mags. The follower in not anti-tilt though.

Most of the links I found where to limit them to 10 lol ...
Yup aluminum ... Not how do you check if the spring good?
Use them. Seriously :) I went through the trouble of buying some rebuild kits for the first few 20 rd mags I bought. I was told by an old neighbor of mine who was an Armorer for the US Army that he doubted that the springs and followers were bad on those mags, and I should just go try them. Behold these 40 year old mags worked just fine. If anything, I would only replace the springs - these are straight walled mags and don't require anti tilt.

Well, the only way to really know is to try them out in a rifle that is known to be reliable with other mags. If you get any malfunctions, particularly fail to feeds, the springs could be weak.

If you are concerened about it it certainly wouldn't hurt to throw new springs in them any way. Springs are cheap enough, and you have to figure that the springs in these mags could be close to 40 years old now, and who knows how many times they have been loaded/unloaded.

But again, as far as the followers go, the alluminum ones are fine - no need to replace these unless they are damaged in some way.

Yeah I figured shoot and see. All most done with my first arbuild(also my first ar) I rebuilt the 30's I first got just cause the spring and follower where cheap at the gun show in December ....

Guess ill find out lol thanks guys... Never new about the followers in these.

I've never done anything to my GI 20-rounders except load them and shoot them. 30-rounders on the other hand, I replaced the original followers in every single one of them with Magpul anti-tilts. My AR had more than a few feed issues with the 30's until I replaced the followers, and I haven't had one stoppage of any kind since.
