AR15 Mass compliant and Pre-ban lg capacity

I am asking for recommendations for a Mass compliant AR15 that I can readily find lg capacity mags for. I have done my searching and found little on the topic here. I suspect that with the extremely sad and horrible incident from last week in CT, I (we) will likely have little time left to purchase a dependable, effective defensive firearm such as the AR15.

I have absolutely no experience with this firearm and no time/interest to build my own. I would prefer new (though the lg capacity mag requirement may preclude the newness) in a .556.

If you can help get me started with making a selection, I will be forever grateful.

Thanks - Mass, I believe, allows for pre-ban only lg capacity mags - is that also your understanding? (with my understanding that your answer provided still leaves with me the responsibility of verifying any laws myself)

I myself picked up a Smith & Wesson AR-15 ORC model new a few months back. Have had nothing but good luck with it.

i currently rock with great success a Smith and Wesson M&P15 sport. threw a cheap riser and optic on it and it works very very well. headed to the range thursday afternoon to shoot it as well. where are you located? you are welcome to play if you wish

You can absolutely lawfully use pre-1994 AWB magazines in your MA-compliant AR-15.

It's funny, as many gun shops as I've been in, I don't recall ever even seeing a ten-round magazine. Boxes and boxes of pre-ban 20- and 30-rounders. Never seen a ten, other than in a NIB AR.

I actually bought my first two pre-ban 20 round mags before I had acquired any other components of my AR build.

My FFL said his distributer is back ordered indefinately with no stock on hand....
