ar15 w/ slide fire stock chambered in .22lr?

thinking i want to build an ar with the slide fire stock and a 22 upper. has anyone done this? slide fire's website says it will work, but a lighter trigger is needed. if you have done this, or know someone who has done it successfully, please share your experience and what parts you used. i want to do the 22 upper because it will be a hell of a lot cheaper to shoot than .223

We have a few guys that have put them on the S&W 15-22 and work as is.. We also stock the slidefire if you ever need one.

Mp15-22 will work.

But I don't know how much fun rattling off a 10-round mag will be.

Install a timney trigger and your all set. I believe there are preban .22 mags out there from the old conversion kits.
