OK so I am taking my time deciding to which club I would like to pledge my undying love and allegiance. Nevertheless I have to shoot something! I can't for the life of me find a range near Worcester where I can just pay my 20 per hour (or whatever) and bust some caps. Is there anyone out there who can help me find a joint to shoot up?

Oh, and if I see one more listing for Boston gun range in Auburn MA that reads "closed permanently" I'm going to have a thrombosis.

Any and all help is appreciated[mg]

There are no pay ranges in central mass. Your best bet from worcester is gonna be to get on the pike and drive to S+W, time wise. Then there's Bob's in Salisbury, AFS, but either one of those is going to be a haul compared to S+W...

In the long run you probably should join a private club, although I might suggest keeping talk of "shooting the place up" and "busting caps" to a minimum. [laugh]

Thanks doc,

I can usually just hold out for one of my regular trips up to VT to see family, but I partook of Carl and Co.'s awesome Sig sale over at FS and I am itching to break it in, even if it doesn't need it. Looks like its put up or shut up time with a club choice.

Thanks again

why not find a pistol league, or pistol night at a local club. I know that my club hanson rod and gun has open to public events. Such as black light shoot, monday night pistol, wed thur sunday trap. CMP shoots and other events. Or even better join IPDA or other competitve shooting organization. Then you can shoot at many clubs and find that special one

Just a quick follow up

I tried out AFS, great range. I had it all to myself, no good for them, but great for me. I'll go back when I'm in the area again. On a side note, it looks like we're leaning towards Brookfield sportsman in case anyone wants to know.

Thanks again all
